So, how's it going?
Kept any New Year's Resolutions (mine was to drink more, as Christmas was a bit drear, I'm proud to say I've succeeded). And have your finances got over Christmas yet?
We've finally received January's pay packets, but it's barely made a dent. For some reason we have to pay our Road Tax, car insurance, MOT, building and contents insurance ALL in January. It's a killer!
And we've just moved house. We are skint. My main pre-occupation at the moment is scrolling through Pinterest, imagining how beautiful our house could be if we had a penny to our names.
The other thing I've been doing to keep myself occupied (apart from the washing, very occasional ironing, cooking, cleaning and working) is curating a blog hop for Mumsnet.
Oooh. Curating. I know. So fancy.
Basically, we've been asking fellow bloggers to share their great frugal recipes. The things they make time and again when they're waiting for payday. So, what's yours? Do let us know. Mine is broccoli pasta. Everytime I make it I think, is this really going to be that nice? It's almost too simple, too quick and too cheap. And every time we have it I remember that it's bloody lovely.
Have you got any like that? If so, just stick them on the linky HERE. Then in a couple of weeks I will write a big post for Mumsnet rounding them up, and they'll be publicised by them and us. So, go on, share your top cheap recipes and we'll all be eternally grateful.
